Help Homeless Labrador Retrievers

It's fundraising time for Lab Rescue, the nonprofit that Dave & I have volunteered with for over 8 years. All four of our dogs were rescued by the group. Lab Rescue rescues and finds homes for over 500 Labs annually in DC, MD, VA, PA, WV, and DE. The adoption fees we collect don't come close to covering our expenses, the vast majority of which go to veterinary care.

As part of our fundraising efforts, we're selling some very nice 2009 Rescued Lab Calendars. We're also offering some nice prizes in our 2008 Yellow Lab Raffle. If you're interested, please check out Lab Rescue's website at www.lab-rescue.org. Here are direct links to the calendar and raffle ticket pages:

2009 Rescued Lab Calendar: http://lab-rescue.org/store_product.asp?prodid=215
Yellow Lab Raffle: http://lab-rescue.org/store_category.asp?id=86
Thanks for your help!

Lab Rescue's Ricky

I volunteer with Lab Rescue of the LRCP, Inc. One of our alumni appeared on the front page of the Style section of today's Washington Post. Ricky (fondly known as Ricky Bobby Baby Jesus, but I never saw Talladega Nights, so I don't know the joke) has graduated from the ATF's bomb sniffing program and has completed training with his new human partner. Here's the link. Registration may be required:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/29/AR2007082902331.html?hpid=topnews
